ESL has launched two new services aimed at enhancing trade connectivity between Chinese markets and East Africa. These services, evolved from the former Far East Africa Express (FAX), are designed to provide seamless, reliable shipping solutions to the region.

The services were named Fahari (FHX) service which will exclusively call at Mombasa, Kenya, and the Fanaka (FNX) service will focus on Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Both Swahili names—Fahari meaning “Pride or Splendor” and Fanaka meaning “Prosperity or Success”—symbolize ESL’s dedication to fostering growth in the East African market.

Routes

The FHX service will rotate through Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Port Klang, and Mombasa, while the FNX service will include Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Shekou, Port Klang, and Dar es Salaam. With weekly, consistent departures from Qingdao—FNX beginning on October 20th and FHX on October 21st—ESL aims to strengthen trade ties and provide efficient shipping solutions for businesses between China and East Africa.

ESL was founded and set up to deliver far much higher standards of shipping & logistics solutions than what they saw in the market. They are committed to set up, craft, and deliver consistent quality, above global shipping standards. Since 2001, they have done just that consistently, as testified by our customers, many of whom have been with them since our inception.
