CMA CGM has improved its shipping services from Europe to West Africa, enhancing coverage and efficiency for key markets in the region.

New services

The updates which demonstrate CMA CGM’s commitment to providing reliable, high-quality shipping solutions between Europe and West Africa, with expanded services tailored to regional demands include; WAZZAN Service: Now offering exclusive access to Casablanca with a weekly direct link to Dakar. The WAZZAN service has a 28-day operational time and covers Casablanca – Algeciras – Tanger – Nouakchott – Dakar – Nouadhibou – Las Palmas. The first departure was made by the m/v “LION,” which arrived in Casablanca on October 10th, 2024.

The BIJAGOS Service is a newly dedicated service for Gambia and Guinea-Bissau markets, providing competitive transit times. This service operates on a 35-day cycle covering Algeciras – Tanger – Dakar – Banjul – Bissau. The first departure was made by m/v “EM HYDRA,” which arrived in Algeciras on October 14th, 2024.

The MEDWAX Service now includes Freetown, operating over 28 days with a rotation of Algeciras – Tanger – Freetown – Conakry – Monrovia – San Pedro. The first departure was made by m/v “CMA CGM GUARANI,” arriving in Algeciras on October 2nd, 2024, while the EURAF 4 Service: Continues to serve Valencia and several West African ports, with a 42-day operational time covering Valencia – Algeciras – Tanger – Lome – Bata – Malabo – Kribi – Libreville. The first departure was made by m/v “LUTETIA,” arriving in Valencia on October 6th, 2024.
