A dirt road is set to be constructed the Deki-Zer’u administrative area in Eritrea. The area residents of Deki-Zer’u in the Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone are working together to build a 10 km dirt road that will link their community to the main Asmara-Keren road.
Benefits
The project, which is supported by construction machinery, is expected to make transportation easier and improve the daily lives of the local population of 1,386 people. Engineer Bereket Mihreteab, one of the coordinators, mentioned that a feasibility study was conducted before starting the construction. He also praised the active involvement of the residents, highlighting their dedication to the project’s success.
Lieutenant Colonel Yemane Mebrahtu, the administrator of the Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone, emphasized the importance of community unity in achieving development goals. He encouraged the residents to maintain their teamwork and continue contributing to similar projects that will benefit the community.
Deki-Zer’u is one of 11 administrative areas in the Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone. The new road is expected to enhance economic and social connections, making it easier for residents to access essential services and opportunities.
