Smart Globe Holdings, a Hong Kong-based printing firm, has marked a key step in its expansion into Africa by partially completing a warehouse facility at its newly established logistics centre in Zambia.

The development is led by its subsidiary, Tera Logistics, which acquired the land in January 2025. The site is strategically located near the Zambia–Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) border, an area vital for regional trade.

Strategic deal

To enhance its operations, Smart Globe has also entered into a strategic agreement with COSCO Shipping Africa through another subsidiary, Tera Fleet. Signed on July 21, 2025, and set to take effect on August 1, the agreement outlines the provision of warehousing, inventory handling, container management, and related services for COSCO at the new facility.

According to Smart Globe, this collaboration supports its goal of diversifying its revenue streams and gaining a firm operational presence in Sub-Saharan Africa. The location of the logistics centre is expected to improve efficiency in cross-border trade by cutting transportation costs and speeding up customs clearance for goods moving between Zambia, the DRC, and Zimbabwe.
