The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport: South Africa (CILTSA) proudly marks International Women’s Day with a special online event: “Give | Gain | Grow: Stronger Together”, happening on Saturday, 7 March.

This focused, 90-minute webinar is part of CILTSA’s ongoing Women Empowerment in Logistics, Transport, and Supply Chain initiative, designed to foster professional growth and leadership for women across the industry.

Learn from Industry Trailblazers

The webinar brings together leading voices in transport, logistics, and supply chain management to explore how collaboration, mentorship, and support drive professional and organizational success in a rapidly evolving industry.

“This event is a vital platform for fostering collaboration needed to drive our industry forward,” says Shevon Kotiah CMILT, Brand Ambassador for CILTSA. “By creating a space where women can share expertise and resources, we aren’t just empowering individuals; we are strengthening the entire logistics, transport, and supply chain ecosystem.”

Focus on Collective Growth

CILTSA’s webinar emphasizes the power of collective action, moving beyond individual achievements to build a circular economy of support that benefits the wider industry.

Featured Speakers:

  • Lebo Rakgekola – Department Executive: Sales (LCV & SUV), Isuzu
  • Samantha Ferreira – Senior Product Manager, Video, Powerfleet
  • Maserati Ramokadi – Transport and Logistics Analyst, Absa

The session will be facilitated by Lebo Letsoalo CMILT, Founder of Sincpoint and the African Women in Supply Chain Association.

Key Session Themes:

  • Mentorship and Leadership: How knowledge sharing and training create a stronger, more resilient workforce.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: How inclusive practices, supported by technology and data, drive measurable gains in efficiency, safety, and innovation.
  • Economic Empowerment: Strategies for scaling women-owned businesses through financial access and tailored support.
  • Systemic Change: Collaboration among industry leaders to set new standards for equity and growth.

“Our goal is to move from conversation to action,” adds Kotiah. “By giving access and support, we gain a stronger industry, allowing every professional to grow.”

The webinar concludes with a collective pledge, encouraging all participants to commit to one actionable step to support women in the logistics, transport, and supply chain sectors throughout March.

This 7 March online event is a key milestone leading up to CILTSA’s Women in Transport, Logistics and Supply Chain Conference on 18 September, now in its fifth year and widely recognized as a leading platform for women professionals in the sector.
