Africa Global Logistics (AGL) has announced its participation as a bronze sponsor for the Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) 2025 conference.

AGL’s involvement underscores its growing commitment to Angola’s logistics sector, where the company has made notable strides in modernizing and expanding infrastructure. With a presence spanning port, rail, road, and air freight services, AGL has significantly scaled its operations in Angola in recent years, delivering comprehensive logistics management solutions to support vital industries—including oil and gas.

“AGL is proud to support AOG 2025 scheduled to take place on September 3–4 in Luanda. Our sponsorship reflects a shared vision to build resilient supply chains and drive intra-African petroleum trade,” the company stated.

Oil and gas logistics

The announcement comes as Angola gears up for several major oil and gas developments between 2025 and 2028. These include the Cabinda Oil Refinery, Agogo Integrated West Hub, Quiluma and Maboqueiro gas fields, and the Kaminho Deepwater Development project. All will require integrated and dependable logistics systems to move supplies efficiently between offshore and onshore sites.

AGL’s participation is expected to enhance collaboration with both government and private stakeholders, as the company seeks to play a central role in supporting project execution through strategic partnerships.

In 2024, AGL marked a significant milestone by launching operations at the AGL Lobito Terminal, located within Angola’s largest maritime hub—the Port of Lobito. The facility, designed to handle over one million tonnes of bulk cargo and more than 100,000 TEUs annually, serves as a cornerstone in AGL’s efforts to boost regional trade and connectivity.

The company secured the international tender to develop the multipurpose and container terminal in 2023, further aligning with Angola’s long-term industrialization goals. As the country positions itself as a regional oil and logistics powerhouse, AGL’s presence at AOG 2025 is poised to reinforce its role as a key enabler of economic and energy sector growth.
