AIR ONE International Holdings has officially taken delivery of its first Boeing 777 freighter during a handover ceremony at Boeing’s Everett facility in Washington, marking a key milestone in the group’s fleet expansion strategy.
The aircraft is the first of two 777Fs ordered by AeroTransCargo FZE, a subsidiary of AIR ONE International Holdings specializing in aviation asset management. The second unit is scheduled for delivery in the final quarter of 2025.
Boosting global cargo network
The newly acquired freighter will enter service under an operating lease with One Air, the British cargo airline affiliated with AIR ONE, and will operate in One Air’s distinctive blue, yellow, and white livery. With a payload capacity of 107 tonnes, the Boeing 777F will complement the company’s existing fleet of Boeing 747-400 freighters already serving major global cargo markets.
Guneet Mirchandani, Chairman of AIR ONE International Holdings, described the milestone as a proud moment that marks the beginning of the group’s long-term fleet acquisition program. He emphasized that the combination of the 777F and the 747-400F enhances the group’s operational flexibility and supports its ambition of becoming a leading global cargo capacity provider.
David Tattersall, Chief Technical Officer at One Air, highlighted that since launching commercial flights between Asia and Europe two years ago, the airline has built strong customer relationships across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The addition of the 777F is expected to open new opportunities for expansion and service offerings.
Boeing also welcomed the partnership, with Omar Arekat, Vice President of Commercial Sales and Marketing for the Middle East, noting that the 777F currently the world’s largest twin-engine freighter offers unmatched capacity, range, and reliability.
AIR ONE manages a global cargo network under its customer-facing brand, with subsidiaries and affiliates including AeroTransCargo SRL (Moldova), RomCargo Airlines (Romania), and One Air (UK). Its combined fleet now totals 11 Boeing 747-400 freighters and one 777F, supported by offices in London, the UAE, and Hong Kong, enabling comprehensive cargo solutions across major trade corridors.
