The new warehouse will serve a wide regional network, including South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini, Namibia, Botswana, Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, and Zambia. Barloworld Limited CEO Dominic Sewela highlighted the importance of the facility in supporting industries reliant on heavy machinery.
“This investment allows us to drastically reduce the time between placing a parts order and receiving it. Faster service will lead to quicker repairs and maintenance, which is essential for our clients’ productivity,” he noted.
The launch comes at a pivotal time, as the mining and construction sectors prepare for a potential upswing aligned with recovering global commodity trends. The company expects the facility to play a key role in supporting that growth.
