The Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI), based in Sudbury, Ontario, has signed a strategic alliance with Ramjack Technology Solutions, a South African company known for its expertise in mining technology integration. The partnership aims to accelerate the development and global adoption of advanced mining technologies.
According to CEMI, the collaboration will emphasize engaging industry ecosystems, supporting commercialization, promoting technology solutions, and sharing knowledge that benefits mining communities in both Canada and South Africa.
Mining innovation
As the operator of the Mining Innovation Commercialization Accelerator (MICA) Network, with offices in Sudbury and Toronto, CEMI brings a strong track record in helping mining innovators bring their ideas to market. By teaming up with Ramjack a company with global reach and deep technical experience — CEMI aims to bridge the gap between innovation and practical application in the field.
Mike Jackson, CEO of Ramjack, expressed his enthusiasm for the agreement, highlighting its potential to connect Canadian innovations with mining operations across the globe. “This collaboration is an important step toward making cutting-edge solutions accessible to the wider industry,” he said.
