CEVA Logistics is set to expand its footprint in Central Africa with the construction of a major logistics base near the Port of Kribi in Cameroon. The facility, expected to be operational between September 2025 and January 2026, will bolster the company’s regional presence and support the country’s rising trade volumes.
Features of new logistics base
The new site spans 30,000 square meters and lies just two kilometers from the Kribi Port Authority. It will include 25,000 square meters of storage capacity for import and export containers, accommodating up to 2,200 TEUs. In addition, a 5,000-square-meter warehouse will be dedicated to export commodities such as cotton, sesame, cocoa, and timber.
This development builds on CEVA’s existing operations in Cameroon, which cover offices in Douala, Yaoundé, and Kribi, as well as a 20,000-square-meter container depot in Douala. The Kribi investment forms part of CEVA’s wider African growth strategy. The company already operates in 24 countries across the continent and aims to expand into Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, and the Republic of Congo by the end of 2025.
According to Mehdi Ghozayel, CEVA’s Head of Central Africa Cluster, the new platform is designed to meet the increasing logistics demands of regional businesses, positioning CEVA as a key partner in driving Central Africa’s economic development.
