Condor, the German leisure airline, is set to expand its long-haul network to South Africa during the 2025/2026 European winter season, adding more flights to key destinations.

Starting from 1 November 2025, Condor will increase its Frankfurt–Cape Town service from five weekly flights to a daily schedule, responding to growing demand from European travelers. Additionally, the Frankfurt–Johannesburg route will increase from two to three weekly flights, supporting both business and leisure travel to South Africa’s economic center.

Efficiency

Both routes will be served by Condor’s Airbus A330-900neo, known for its fuel efficiency and modern design, featuring 310 seats across business, premium economy, and economy classes. This expansion is expected to strengthen travel links between Germany and South Africa, which remains a key market for European visitors. The additional flights will enhance connectivity and offer more opportunities for multi-destination itineraries within the region, contributing to the growth of South Africa’s tourism sector.

Condor, legally incorporated as Condor Flugdienst GmbH, is a German airline based in Neu Isenburg, Hesse. It was established in 1955 with Frankfurt Airport as its main base. Condor offers scheduled and charter flights and operates, from Germany, medium-haul flights to the Mediterranean Basin and the Canary Islands as well as long-haul flights to destinations in Africa, Asia, North America, South America and the Caribbean. Whereas medium-haul flights are operated from many German airports and Zurich, long-haul flights usually depart from Frankfurt, with a few charter services operated from Düsseldorf and Munich.
