EFIS Maroc, a subsidiary of ECS Group, has partnered with China Eastern Airlines to strengthen African cargo logistics. Starting January 19, 2025, the collaboration will launch three weekly flights connecting Casablanca and Shanghai via Marseille, operated on Boeing 787-900 aircraft with an 18-tonne cargo capacity.

The service will primarily cater to the automotive industry by ensuring the secure and timely transport of high-value components between Morocco and China, fostering deeper trade ties and economic growth between the two regions.

Innovation

Jean Ceccaldi, CEO of ECS Group, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “Combining our regional expertise with innovative tools, we aim to redefine standards in efficiency and reliability for cargo logistics.” EFIS Maroc will leverage ECS Group’s global network and digital solutions, such as Squair, which optimizes customs reporting, and CargoAi, an advanced digital booking platform, to enhance operational transparency and efficiency.

The partnership underscores ECS Group’s commitment to expanding its footprint in Africa, with Morocco serving as a critical gateway to the continent. This collaboration positions EFIS Maroc as a key player in enhancing trade logistics and strengthening Morocco’s role in the global supply chain.
