The expo’s themes cover key areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and smart infrastructure. It also aligns with national strategies like Digital Ethiopia 2025 and broader continental goals under the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
Leaders have emphasized the importance of ETEX 2025 in shaping Ethiopia’s digital future. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed highlighted the country’s progress and underscored the need to empower local innovators and build supportive digital frameworks. Dr. Worku Gachena of the EAII echoed this vision, stressing the significance of youth-focused initiatives like the 5 Million Ethiopian Coder Initiative in driving long-term tech growth across Africa.
ETEX 2025 also promotes regional and global cooperation, aiming to attract foreign investments and strengthen Ethiopia’s position as a digital leader in Africa. With the UAE Cyber Security Council as a strategic partner, the event is expected to showcase Ethiopia’s potential in leading the continent’s digital transformation. Organizers hope the expo will not only highlight technological advancements but also create lasting partnerships and investment opportunities in the Ethiopian tech space.
