Etihad Airways is set to introduce its Airbus A321LR aircraft, featuring an upgraded cabin design that brings long-haul luxury to shorter routes. These new jets, set to join the fleet starting August 2025, will offer travelers a premium experience previously only available on wide-body aircraft.

The highlight is the inclusion of exclusive First Class suites, a groundbreaking move for narrow-body jets. Each suite is fully enclosed, offering a lie-flat bed, private space, and elegant amenities designed for ultimate comfort on regional and mid-range flights.

The A321LR’s Business Class cabin mirrors the sophistication of Etihad’s long-haul services, with 14 lie-flat seats arranged in a herringbone pattern. Each seat provides direct aisle access, high-definition entertainment screens, Bluetooth connectivity, wireless charging, and generous personal space. Economy Class has also been thoughtfully designed, featuring wider seats, more recline, enhanced ergonomics, and state-of-the-art entertainment systems, ensuring a comfortable experience across all classes.

Connectivity plays a central role in the new A321LR experience, with all passengers able to enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi from gate to gate. Powered by Viasat’s advanced satellite technology, the onboard internet allows for streaming, browsing, and even live TV access throughout the flight. This seamless digital experience supports Etihad’s commitment to delivering modern luxury and convenience at every stage of the journey.

Etihad is also expanding its premium services beyond the aircraft, particularly for First Class guests. Travelers booking First will have access to the new Etihad Concierge, available 24/7 to assist with personalized travel planning. On the ground, premium perks include chauffeur service, dedicated check-in, exclusive lounge access, and streamlined boarding. In Abu Dhabi, added services such as Home Check-In and private limousine transfers to the aircraft elevate the travel experience from door to door.

With the A321LR, Etihad aims to strengthen its global network and support the growth of Abu Dhabi as a major aviation hub. The airline plans to launch 10 of these aircraft in 2025, serving destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. This rollout aligns with Etihad’s Journey 2030 strategy, which targets significant fleet expansion, increased passenger capacity, and enhanced global connectivity.
