Jet Aviation has rolled out a new digital flight operations system specifically designed to support its aircraft operations in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions. This new digital infrastructure aims to improve real-time communication and coordination among flight crews, operational staff, and clients.

The newly launched control centre serves as a central hub that brings together data from more than 15 separate systems. It manages and updates information related to flight planning, aircraft maintenance status, crew schedules, training, and overall operational readiness. By automating data collection and minimizing manual input, the system reduces the likelihood of human error and enhances operational speed and accuracy.

One of the core features of the platform is its ability to provide instant updates to relevant parties. Both clients and crew members can track flight progress and other essential information through online or mobile access, offering greater visibility and convenience.

Niclas von Planta, Vice President of Flight Services for Jet Aviation EMEA, highlighted that the integrated solution significantly simplifies the flight planning process and enhances the team’s ability to share information efficiently. He also noted the company’s intent to continue evolving the platform to offer even more capabilities in the future.

Customization

This digital environment is built on a customised version of the Leon Software management system, which was introduced into Jet Aviation’s EMEA and APAC operations in December 2024. Currently, Jet Aviation manages around 70 aircraft in EMEA, having added six new planes this year—including models like the Airbus A330, Airbus A319neo, and Gulfstream G700s. In the APAC region, the company oversees a fleet of approximately 30 aircraft, contributing to a total global fleet of about 300 aircraft under management.

The Vice President of Flight Services for APAC noted that this bespoke digital system enhances the company’s ability to deliver efficient, customer-focused services by making crucial flight data readily accessible when needed.

Jet Aviation, part of General Dynamics, employs over 4,500 people across 50+ global locations. Its wide range of services includes aircraft management, charter, maintenance, completions, government support programs, staffing, and fixed-base operations (FBO). In 2023, the company also expanded its Bozeman, Montana FBO by completing a 40,000-square-foot hangar, boosting its total hangar space to over 300,000 square feet.
