Jumia, a major player in Africa’s e-commerce landscape, has expanded its logistics service, Jumia Delivery, to Nigeria. This marks the service’s second market after its successful launch in Côte d’Ivoire, as the company moves to strengthen its logistics presence across the continent.

Designed for both personal and business use, Jumia Delivery provides a fast, secure, and affordable way to send parcels across Nigeria. With a wide-reaching logistics network and one of the continent’s largest delivery fleets, the service aims to streamline parcel delivery and improve last-mile logistics for all users.

Goal

Francis Dufay, CEO of Jumia, highlighted the importance of this development, stating: “The rapid growth of Africa’s digital economy calls for dependable logistics solutions. Launching Jumia Delivery in Nigeria is a key step in enhancing logistics infrastructure and helping businesses and individuals meet their delivery needs more effectively.”

This move reflects Jumia’s broader commitment to strengthening its logistics capabilities. Following the rollout in Nigeria, the company plans to introduce the service in Kenya, Ghana, and Senegal, among other strategic markets.

Jumia’s logistics offering complements its core e-commerce platform, which connects sellers and buyers across nine African countries. Alongside its marketplace and digital payment solution, JumiaPay, the company continues to invest in infrastructure that supports e-commerce growth and financial inclusion across the region. With this launch, Jumia positions itself not only as an e-commerce leader but also as a key logistics partner for Africa’s growing online economy.
