Kale Logistics has announced a partnership with Mozambique Airport Handling Service (MAHS) to develop Africa’s first Airport Cargo Community System (ACS).

MAHS, a leading airport handling service company in Mozambique, assists with aircraft, passengers, cargo, and mail across the country’s airports, which are experiencing significant growth in air traffic.  The collaboration aims to address challenges such as revenue leakage, lack of visibility and transparency, reliance on physical paperwork, and the need for efficient data interchange among stakeholders.

In the initial phase, the project will integrate finance and customs systems alongside Kale’s flagship airport cargo digital management system, GALAXY 3.0. The services will first be implemented in eight airports where MAHS operates, with plans to extend to an additional 12 airports in the subsequent phase.

Tubias Fondo, IT and Communications Head at MAHS, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating, “We strongly believe its technology-enabled solution will build strong business synergies for us in the long run.” Vineet Malhotra, Co-Founder and Director of Kale, added, “We are proud to bring our expertise and best practices to this collaboration, ensuring the highest standards of service and innovation.”

This initiative marks a significant milestone in the digitization of air cargo operations in Africa, positioning Mozambique for exponential growth in the coming years.
