Kingscote Rojay Ltd (KRL), a leading UK-based multimodal logistics provider, has finalized the acquisition of Republic Cargo Systems UK Ltd (RCS UK) as part of its strategy to enhance global freight services, particularly in air and ocean transport.
RCS UK, previously affiliated with the U.S.-based RCS Group, has built a strong reputation over the last decade for delivering reliable freight solutions. Based in Solihull, its operations will complement Kingscote’s existing service network across the UK and Ireland.
Strategic growth
Commenting on the acquisition, Peter Phythian, who represents the Kingscote board and will now serve as Managing Director of RCS UK, said: “RCS UK brings a solid track record in freight forwarding, especially across key international markets such as Europe, North America, and Asia. Integrating their capabilities into our group enables us to improve service efficiency, reach more clients, and drive strategic growth in crucial trade routes.”
The move supports Kingscote’s broader expansion efforts and strengthens its ability to deliver comprehensive logistics solutions across global markets. Although RCS UK will continue operating under its current brand for the time being, it will now function within the Kingscote group structure.
Phythian added: “We’re excited to welcome RCS UK into the Kingscote family. Their expertise complements our own, and I look forward to the opportunities this collaboration will bring as we continue pushing boundaries in the logistics sector.”
Established in 1993, Kingscote offers a full suite of logistics services—including international freight forwarding, warehousing, pick and pack, domestic transportation, and European distribution. The company also maintains a strong international presence through a network of over 400 partner facilities and 13,000 global locations.
