NILESAT and RASCOM have officially entered a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Marketing Service Contract. This collaboration marks a significant development in the field of satellite technology and space science, aiming to strengthen cooperation between the two organizations. The agreement sets the foundation for joint efforts in various areas, including satellite capacity sales, training programs, technological innovation, and research initiatives.

The partnership is designed to promote the exchange of knowledge and resources between NILESAT and RASCOM. Both organizations have pledged to share access to their satellite platforms, infrastructure, and applications to boost the availability and effectiveness of satellite services across Africa and the Middle East. Representing NILESAT, Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Hesham Sallam highlighted the importance of this collaboration in driving innovation and enhancing connectivity across the region. RASCOM’s Director General, Mr. Timothy Ashong, expressed enthusiasm about the new alliance.
