Nowlun, an Egypt-based digital logistics platform focused on streamlining global freight in the MENA region, has secured $600,000 in an extension of its seed funding round. The latest capital injection was led by Ingressive Capital, bringing Nowlun’s total seed funding to $2.3 million.
The initial seed round saw support from Nama Ventures, A15, Sanabil 500 Global, and several angel investors. Founded by Moataz Khamis, Mahmoud Khaled, and Ahmed Emara, Nowlun specializes in helping businesses move full container load (FCL) and bulk cargo more efficiently. Its platform offers real-time tracking, instant updates, and aims to simplify international freight operations.
Scope of expansion
The company plans to channel the new funds toward expanding its AI capabilities, scaling its team, and increasing shipment handling efficiency. A key focus is the development of a smart Logistics Assistant designed specifically for ocean freight shippers in MENA and Africa. This tool will offer real-time recommendations and insights, helping shippers reduce costs and make informed decisions.
According to CEO Moataz Khamis, “We’re building your smart Logistics Assistant, a tool that puts decades of industry expertise in the palm of your hand.”
Nowlun is also targeting growth in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, as part of a broader strategy to modernize the region’s logistics industry, which still relies heavily on manual processes. The company aims to use AI to enhance speed, transparency, and reliability across the logistics chain.
