PayCargo, a leading digital logistics payment platform, has officially launched operations in the United Arab Emirates, marking a significant step in its Middle East expansion. Emirates SkyCargo has become the first regional carrier to adopt the platform, introducing fully digital payment options for its UAE-based cargo customers.

The partnership aims to transform traditional cargo payment systems which often rely on time-consuming and manual methods into streamlined, efficient, and secure digital transactions. Customers will now be able to make instant payments via credit card or direct debit, ensuring same-day or next-business-day cargo release.

Boost in operational efficiency

Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates SkyCargo, said the partnership reflects the airline’s commitment to smart technologies that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. “This partnership with PayCargo ensures we are at the forefront of the next era of logistics, offering faster and more secure transactions,” he said.

Eduardo Del Riego, CEO of PayCargo, expressed excitement about the UAE launch, highlighting the platform’s potential to eliminate manual payment bottlenecks and save customers valuable time. “We’re thrilled to launch in the UAE with Emirates SkyCargo. This solution simplifies the payment process and provides a more reliable, digitized alternative,” he noted.

The move follows a strategic alliance between PayCargo and Seed Group, a company under the Private Office of Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum. Seed Group has played a pivotal role in supporting PayCargo’s entry into the UAE and facilitating its planned expansion across the Middle East and North Africa. The launch represents a broader industry shift toward digital transformation in air freight and logistics, as carriers and stakeholders seek smarter, faster, and more integrated solutions.
