Qatar Airways Cargo, IAG Cargo, and MASkargo have revealed plans to establish a joint global air cargo business. This partnership seeks to merge the airlines’ individual strengths in expertise, infrastructure, and network reach, allowing them to deliver a more streamlined service offering.

Triple efficiency

Customers are expected to benefit from improved connectivity, faster transit times, and access to new routes made possible by the combined global networks of the three carriers. In addition to enhancing their service capabilities, the airlines are working together to create unified safety and security standards.

By aligning these critical elements, they aim to ensure a consistent and reliable experience for their customers across all operations. According to the airlines, the partnership will drive improvements in accessibility, efficiency, and agility within the airfreight sector.

The launch of the joint business remains subject to regulatory approvals and is anticipated to commence in the near future. Leaders from each airline have expressed strong optimism about the collaboration. Mark Drusch, Chief Officer Cargo at Qatar Airways Cargo, highlighted the initiative as a major step toward reshaping the global air cargo industry by offering exceptional service and connectivity.

David Shepherd, Chief Executive of IAG Cargo, emphasized the added customer choice and enhanced global trade support the partnership would deliver. Similarly, Mark Jason Thomas, Chief Executive of MASkargo, noted that this collaboration will bring innovative solutions, broader global reach, and improved efficiency to meet the changing demands of the market.
