South Africa is set to host a logistics and transport conference. The event slated for November 19 to 21, 2024, will take place at the Nasrec Expo Centre.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) revealed a high-profile lineup of speakers for the regional event under the theme “Unlocking Sub-Saharan Africa’s Potential: Transforming Transport and Logistics for a Sustainable Future.” The event aims to tackle key challenges and explore growth opportunities in Africa’s transport and logistics sectors.

Unlocking Sub-Saharan Africa’s Potential

Prominent industry leaders, including CILT Zimbabwe president Tapiwa Mujakachi, Godwin Punungwe, Gerhard van Zyl, Lyn Chiweshe, Raymond Koffie, Mum Habib, and Mike Daniel, will discuss vital topics such as infrastructure, harmonization, safety, skills development, and technology. CILTSA president Elvin Harris emphasized that the conference is designed not only to address challenges but also to spark meaningful change through expert insights.

Tapiwa Mujakachi highlighted the strategic importance of the event in enhancing regional connectivity and efficiency. He stated that the gathering would foster collaboration, drive innovation, and unlock the immense potential of the region’s transport and logistics industry. The conference will run alongside the Futuroad Expo and Automechanika, offering participants opportunities for networking, learning, and collaboration.
