Swiss WorldCargo, together with its partner Fiege Air Cargo Logistics, has inaugurated a new mail handling facility at Zurich Airport.

This facility will allow Swiss WorldCargo to extend its operational hours, facilitating better service for mail customers by processing shipments in both the morning and evening. Additionally, the new setup will reduce transit times, ensuring that mail arriving on flights before 17:00 can be connected the same day, with a minimum connection time of six hours.

Efficiency

This collaboration aims to improve efficiency in mail handling and enable quicker delivery to European destinations and international flights. Swiss WorldCargo’s Alain Chisari highlighted the significance of partnering with forward-thinking companies to enhance service offerings. The expertise of Fiege Air Cargo Logistics in air cargo handling, automation, and digitalization will be instrumental in advancing Swiss WorldCargo’s mail operations and creating additional value for customers.
