Telecom Egypt has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KareXpert, an AI-powered healthcare technology company backed by Reliance Jio, to introduce a secure, cloud-based digital healthcare platform in Egypt. The collaboration was announced during the Africa Health ExCon 2025 in Cairo and aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for digital transformation.
Nationwide Digital Healthcare Platform
The platform will be hosted on Telecom Egypt’s secure national cloud, ensuring data sovereignty and compliance with regulatory standards. It will integrate a comprehensive Hospital Information Management System (HIMS), unified electronic medical records, and revenue cycle management solutions. This will provide healthcare facilities with a unified view of clinical and administrative data, improving operational efficiency and billing processes.
KareXpert’s solutions are known for seamless integration with existing hospital infrastructure and offer a digital payment ecosystem that streamlines billing and accelerates revenue collection. Future scalability is built in, enabling integration with AI and IoT technologies.
Mohamed Nasr, Managing Director and CEO of Telecom Egypt, emphasized the company’s broader strategy to expand beyond connectivity into advanced digital services through strategic partnerships. “We are transferring our technical expertise to the healthcare sector to support Egypt’s sustainable digital transformation,” he stated.
Nidhi Jain, Founder and CEO of KareXpert, expressed confidence in the partnership, highlighting the company’s successful track record in digitizing over 500 hospitals and serving more than 15 million patients across six countries, including major institutions like Apollo and Tata Group Hospitals. This initiative positions Telecom Egypt at the forefront of digital health innovation in the region, offering scalable, secure, and efficient healthcare solutions tailored for Egypt’s growing medical needs.
