Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a SATS company, has entered into a multi-year agreement with Emirates SkyCargo to deliver cargo handling, mail, and ramp services at Miami International Airport (MIA). The contract, effective July 14, 2025, spans three years and will support Emirates’ freighter operations at MIA, utilizing Boeing 777 and 747 aircraft from the airline’s facility at Building 702.

Enhanced cargo connectivity

This latest agreement strengthens the longstanding collaboration between WFS and Emirates SkyCargo, extending their partnership into one of the most strategic cargo gateways in the Americas. WFS already manages Emirates’ cargo operations at several major U.S. airports, including Los Angeles (LAX), Seattle (SEA), New York (JFK), Houston (IAH), Washington Dulles (IAD), and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). The addition of Miami brings increased alignment and consistency to Emirates SkyCargo’s North American network.

José Canales, Senior Vice President of Commercial & Business Development for the Americas at WFS, described the expansion as a testament to WFS’s reliable service and operational excellence. He emphasized Miami’s critical role in linking North America to Latin America and the Caribbean, making it a key part of Emirates SkyCargo’s broader global network.

The move reflects both companies’ commitment to service quality and enhanced cargo connectivity in the region. By adding MIA to their joint network, WFS and Emirates SkyCargo aim to further strengthen logistics capabilities and meet growing demand across the Americas.
