Tanzanian-owned logistics firm Xerin Group has launched a dedicated air cargo charter service linking Dar es Salaam with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), using a Boeing 737-800 with a 20-tonne capacity per trip.
During the launch event, Managing Director Hussein Jamal highlighted that the service will transform cross-border trade and logistics, offering efficient, secure, and timely cargo movement between East and Central Africa and the Gulf region.
Boost in economic ties
“This is not just business expansion, it’s a catalyst for stronger economic ties between Tanzania and the UAE,” said Jamal, noting that Dar es Salaam will serve as the hub for the new route.
The initiative was made possible with the support of regulatory bodies including TCAA, TAA, and TCA, and aims to reduce turnaround times while addressing growing trade volumes between the two regions. Jamal reaffirmed Xerin Group’s commitment to locally relevant logistics solutions, inviting traders across East and Central Africa to take advantage of the new service.
Since its inception in 2019, Xerin Group has become a key regional player in multimodal logistics, and this latest move cements its role in bridging Africa–Middle East trade corridors.
