Kenya to host Angel Fair Africa event

Kenya is set to host the Angel Fair Africa event in Nairobi, on November 7-8. The event is returning to Nairobi for the first time since 2016, and it will be hosted at the Two Rivers International Finance and Innovation Centre.

Angel Fair Africa event will feature pitches from 20 promising African tech ventures—10 startups and 10 scale-ups. It will be organized by Chanzo Capital in collaboration with Startupbootcamp AfriTech, MEST Africa, Antler, iHub, and GrowthAfrica, will allow early-stage startups and expanding scale-ups to showcase their businesses to a network of investors.

Angel Fair Africa event

The first day will highlight startups seeking angel, pre-seed, and seed capital. Selected startups include: Kenya: VunaPay, NoMa, Zopa254, Ghana: BenBen, Lastmal, South Africa: Ejoobi, Hitherroad, Uganda: Karaa, Mozambique: Goodbite, Nigeria: Wenzo

The second day will be dedicated to scale-ups looking for seed, Series A, and Series B funding. Scale-up representatives include: Kenya: Check-Ups Med, Chumz, Save App, EpiCenter Africa, Twiva, Ivory Coast: MojaRide, DigiTech, Ghana: PayAngel, Tanzania: KilimoFresh, Nigeria: HouseAfrica.

Each of the 20 ventures has been pre-screened through programs by partners like iHub, MEST Africa, and Startupbootcamp AfriTech, preparing them for potential investment opportunities.
