Entries are open until July 13, 2026, for individuals, SMEs, and organisations shaping Africa’s lifting and rigging sector

As the entry deadline for the second annual Southern African Lifting Awards approaches, anticipation among industry stakeholders continues to rise.

With the deadline set for July 13, 2026, at 17:00, companies and professionals across the continent are encouraged to register and showcase the work actively shaping the future of the industry.

Eligible entrants include individuals, SMEs, and organisations operating within Africa’s lifting, rigging, and materials-handling sectors.

In high-risk, high-responsibility environments like lifting and rigging, credibility is earned through performance. The Southern African Lifting Awards provide a platform where that performance is documented, evaluated, and recognised.

These awards celebrate success while highlighting real-world case studies of safe project delivery, innovations that solve on-site challenges, and training initiatives that build the next generation of skilled professionals.

“As Africa’s infrastructure, mining, and energy sectors expand, the need for documented excellence is growing. The Lifting Awards are fast becoming a reference point for best practice in the lifting industry, not only for those who win, but for the sector as a whole,” said the organisers.

What makes these awards unique is their focus not only on large organisations but also on SMEs executing complex projects under tight constraints. This reflects the depth and capability within the African market.

“The continued growth of the Southern African Lifting Awards is supported by leading industry stakeholders, including YOKE Industrial Corp, RiConnect, Electra Mining Africa, and Lifting Placements. Their involvement underscores a shared commitment to advancing standards, recognising excellence, and investing in the long-term development of Africa’s lifting industry,” said the organisers.

The entry deadline is July 13, 2026, at 17:00, while the main event will take place on October 30, 2026, at the Birchwood Hotel & Conference Centre.
