C. Steinweg Bridge Group general manager Moses Mwingizi recognised for driving operational efficiency and digital transformation across East and Southern Africa
Tanzanian logistics executive Moses Mwingizi has been named a recipient of the 2026 Global Recognition Award in recognition of his contributions to the logistics sector across East and Southern Africa.
Mwingizi, who serves as General Manager at C. Steinweg Bridge Group, oversees terminal operations that export more than 100,000 metric tons of copper each month, reflecting the scale of operations under his leadership.
According to the award organisers, Mwingizi led the full implementation of the company’s bridge operating system, a digital platform that had previously been underutilised. The system now captures operational data, including tonnage, handling times and cargo quality, from cargo receipt through to dispatch.
The organisers said the initiative contributed to increasing terminal throughput from 20,000 to more than 100,000 metric tons per month, while shift productivity improved from 30 to 100 moves per shift.
“A terminal is only as strong as the people who show up to run it every day, and keeping them engaged matters as much as the equipment,” said Mwingizi.
